We had a delightful belated birthday dinner for my brother Remy at Huntley Tavern, gobbled up seafood at the Parker House Restaurant in Sea Girt at the Jersey Shore, ordered lobsters, and visited several farmers markets. The tomatoes, corn, and eggplant were all fabulous this weekend.
I'm a sucker for heirloom tomatoes. One night we made a simple Caprese Salad with burrata, sea salt, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil, and balsamic. I've even armed myself with tomato and mayonnaise sandwiches at work this week. To the tomato!
