Mabel's Lobster Claw, Kennebunkport, ME

Our next stop after New Hampshire was a quick jaunt to the charming Kennebunkport, ME. We stayed at our favorite B&B, The Buffelhead Cove Inn. This inn is absolutely darling--the Colonial-style house is situated on a gorgeous cove. The rooms are cozy and the homemade breakfast, and evening wine and cheese overlooking the water is heavenly.
For lunch we stopped at Mabel's Lobster Claw. We were slightly disappointed when we realized this lobster shack wasn't over looking the water.
We ordered their famous lobster roll for $20. It was certainly good, but I found Luke's Lobster on the Upper West Side to be better. Go figure.
One thing you must order at Mabel's Lobster Claw is the pie. We got the pecan pie, which arrived gooey and sweet, with a beautiful crust and char. One of the best pecan pies I've ever tasted. Make sure to save room for at least one slice!
