Ten Con Ten, Madrid, Spain
I'm not kidding when I say Ten Con Ten by Sandro Silva and his team, was one of our top five favorite meals. Unbeknownst to us, this was one of the hardest restaurants to dine at in Madrid with only two services a night at 8pm and 10pm. Lucky for us, an 8pm reservation was available the day of, and because of our American heritage, the timing was perfect for our last night in Spain. Plus we found a babysitter. A true win.
We began our heavenly experience with roasted octopus that was served with tender potatoes and a light pesto sauce. We then split the truffled penne with egg, that was one of the best pastas. The runny egg, black truffles, and al dente, creamy penne was like a holy trinity; rich, decadent, and just delicious.
The suckling pig that we shared was scattered with the crispy skins that burst in your mouth. Paired with sweet apple, this dish was a treat with every bite.
And lest us not forget the tender monkfish, with a delicate sauce composed of sautéed garlic scapes and vinegar, that truly melted in your mouth. We finished our event with a French Toast creme brûlée that was crispy and sweet. It was perfect. The service was excellent and the people watching was just as fun. If you find yourself in Madrid, this is a must-experience!
