Having Fun Making Baby Food
It's pretty amazing how quickly your life changes once you're a parent. Now that Marin is six months, we have introduced solid foods. And guess what I talk about with my husband and mom friends? Solid foods.
I'm sure I will have more to say as I get the hang of feeding, but in the meantime, I thought I would share an idea my friend and neighbor had, which was to host a make-your-own-baby-food get together. She invited a few moms and babies, and we each brought a vegetable to steam (carrots, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and peas). We ordered food, drank a little wine, and steamed the crap out of vegetables, which we all split and froze to bring to our respective homes. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday while Will and my brother went to see a Broadway play (yes, you read that correctly), and now I have a freezer full of winter goodness for Marin.
