Let's Cook Thai!

Let's Cook Thai!

If you're looking for a fun activity with friends or a partner, I highly recommend taking a cooking class. They can be creative, interactive, educational, and best of all, you can eat and sometimes drink!

Last Friday, Will and I took a couples Thai cooking class at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) thanks to a very generous and thoughtful gift.  We had a ball. Taught by Chef Loren, the structure of the class covered a brief intro to Thai cuisine, beginner knife skills, and how to execute classics like Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, and Massaman Curry. We broke out into teams to conquer the seven dishes, and finished the class eating as a group, sipping on Thai beer.

Although we were exhausted from the four hour class (kitchen work is hard, people), we had a blast and found the class to be refreshing. As new parents, it's always a treat getting out of the house, and cooking and meeting new people on a Friday evening in the city is fun and different.
