Hamilton Pork
Now that spring is here, I'm starting to crave sitting at an outdoor restaurant, sipping on a beer, and enjoying some bbq. Well, honestly, I want all of those things year round, but East coasters can't win it all. When that trifecta is available, one of my favorite spots in our neighborhood is Hamilton Pork, the scrumptious bbq joint next to another gem by the same owners, Hamilton Inn.
Hamilton Pork touts all sort of smoked and savory meats, but they also have some killer vegetables and sides (we usually skip the taco portion of the menu).
Most recently, I'm partial to sharing (surprise, surprise) their fall-off-the-bone pork ribs with a side of their extra gooey mac and cheese, and crispy Brussels sprouts with bacon and honey. Will and I are also obsessed with their chicken wings and even begged to buy a batch of their homemade Kung Pao sauce for our home. The sweet, salty, and spicy, sticky sauce is a perfect blend of the flavors you crave with bbq, with that gentle hint of Asian flavor and punch.
I'm also into their iron skillet of kale, roasted cauliflower, burnt end beans, and their two takes on cole slaws.
This is definitely a chill spot to hang with friends and kids (the servers go above and beyond to placate children) and enjoy some beer on tap and flavorful bbq and bountiful sides of savory goodness.
